Pokemon VSTAR Universe represents the pinnacle of Japanese Pokemon TCG collecting in 2022. This high-end set emphasized stunning alternate art treatments and premium card stock, marking a shift toward collector-focused releases. It arrived during peak Pokemon TCG enthusiasm, when Japanese products commanded international attention and accessibility remained relatively limited compared to English releases. Keldeo appears here as an Art Rare, a designation that replaced traditional full-art cards with gallery-style presentations. Collectors are drawn to this Mythical Pokemon for its distinctive visual treatment and the inherent appeal of Art Rare cards, which have become some of the most sought compositions in modern Japanese sets.
