Raging Surf arrived during Pokémon TCG's modern era of Japanese set experimentation, when the company pushed creative boundaries with Double Rare designations and distinctive artwork presentations. Released in 2023, the set captured collectors' attention for its bold visual direction and the way it challenged traditional card aesthetics while maintaining the competitive integrity that keeps the hobby vibrant. Froslass ex as the set's first card represents an elegant pairing of Ghost and Ice typing rendered in striking imagery. The character has long appealed to trainers and collectors alike, and this particular illustration exemplifies the artistic ambition that defines this generation of Japanese releases. It's the kind of opening card that draws collectors into a set's full story.
