Obsidian Flames arrived in 2023 as Scarlet & Violet's fourth expansion, introducing competitive strategies and beloved character cards from the newest generation of games. The set marked a turning point in the era, balancing accessible pull rates with chase cards that drove collector interest. Pre-release versions like this one capture the anticipation before official release, making them particularly meaningful to players and collectors who participated in launch events. Its dynamic artwork showcases the creature mid-action, embodying the energy and appeal that makes this generation resonate with collectors. Fans of newer Pokémon appreciate this card's vibrant presentation and its role in competitive play.
