Brilliant Stars arrived in February 2022 as the fourth and final set of the Sword & Shield era, closing out a generation that had revitalized the Pokémon TCG. The set captured collector enthusiasm with a focus on Pokémon V and VSTAR mechanics, delivering modern power creep alongside nostalgic artwork styles. It remains a popular entry point for newer collectors seeking quality cards from the post-pandemic boom period. V-card variants have become cornerstone pieces in many collections, representing the competitive viability and visual appeal that defined the era's appeal to both players and enthusiasts.
