Brilliant Stars arrived in early 2022 as one of the final sword and shield era sets, capturing the community's enthusiasm before the inevitable transition to scarlet and violet. The set offered strong pull rates and compelling artwork across its lineup, making it accessible and enjoyable for both veteran collectors and newer players discovering the hobby during the pandemic's sustained trading card renaissance. This Octillery represents the set's appeal through its crown jewel trainer gallery subset. The alternate artwork treatment gives the water-type evolution a distinctive presentation that diverges from standard card design, making it a natural focal point for those building trainer gallery collections or pursuing complete Brilliant Stars sets.
