Astral Radiance arrived in 2022 as a pivotal set bridging the Sword & Shield and Scarlet & Violet eras. It introduced the Radiant Pokémon mechanic—powerful, singular cards with unique abilities—while maintaining the era's accessible pull rates. The set resonated with collectors seeking both competitive playability and beautiful modern artwork, establishing itself as a gateway set for players returning to the hobby during the post-pandemic boom. Mightyena TG09 appears as a Trainer Gallery card, one of the set's most celebrated subsets. These cards blend character art with Pokémon in striking compositions, celebrating the personalities behind Hoenn's stories. Collectors gravitate toward Trainer Gallery cards for their distinctive aesthetic and limited appearances, making each numbered entry in the subset a distinct collectible.
