Garbage Pail Kids returned to the hobby in 2021 with renewed vigor, capturing a new generation of collectors while nostalgic fans revisited the brand that defined 1980s irreverence. The "Go On Vacation" series continued the satirical tradition of reimagined pop culture moments through crude, humorous artwork. These sets proved that the GPK formula remained potent decades later, blending crude humor with clever parody that appealed to both longtime enthusiasts and fresh collectors discovering the brand's appeal. Theo Thumb presents the GPK take on a familiar cultural reference, rendered with the series' characteristic exaggerated style and comedic grotesqueness. The "b" version variant offers collectors an alternative to the standard release, making it a natural target for set completionists and those building full-run collections of the era.
