One Piece trading cards experienced a resurgence in the early 2020s as the anime and manga's global popularity reached new heights. The Romance Dawn set marked a foundational release for the TCG, introducing key characters and establishing the visual language that would define the hobby's aesthetic. Japanese foil versions became particularly sought after by collectors valuing the premium presentation and authentic regional releases that preceded widespread English availability. Alvida appears as a memorable early antagonist in the series, and her inclusion in Romance Dawn reflects the set's commitment to representing the full cast beyond protagonists. Collectors appreciate how her character card captures this formative arc of the story, making it a meaningful piece for those building comprehensive character collections or tracing the narrative from its beginning.
