Sun & Moon launched in February 2017 as the first set of the seventh generation, introducing the Alola region and its regional variants. The set marked a significant shift in Pokemon TCG design philosophy, featuring bold artwork and the debut of GX mechanics that would dominate competitive play for years. Sun & Moon became foundational to the modern era of collecting, establishing visual and gameplay standards that collectors still value today. Lurantis GX represents the Grass-type perspective of this generation's fresh aesthetic. The card showcases the elegant, scythe-wielding Alolan form against striking artwork that captures the Pokemon's graceful nature. Collectors pursue early Sun & Moon GX cards like this one as cornerstone pieces of seventh generation collecting and as examples of the era's distinctive artistic direction.
