Panini Donruss Elite represents the tail end of an era in football cards. Released in 2022, it was among the final sets produced before Panini's exit from the hobby, making these releases particularly meaningful to collectors who watched the company's tenure unfold. The Elite brand itself had long been synonymous with premium design and creative photography, offering collectors a polished alternative in an increasingly competitive market. Josh Allen's inclusion in this set captures the quarterback during his peak years as Buffalo's franchise cornerstone. Collectors pursue cards of Allen from this period for their significance in documenting one of the NFL's most compelling young talents, especially as his MVP-caliber seasons made him central to the sport's narrative. The 2022 Donruss Elite design brings the set's characteristic style to a player whose legacy continues to develop.
