Dragon Frontiers arrived in 2006 as part of the EX series' final wave, marking the end of an era defined by powerful ex Pokémon and intense competitive play. The set bridged the transition between the EX-dominated metagame and what would come next, making it a nostalgic touchstone for players who experienced the TCG during this pivotal moment. Reverse holo variants from this period remain sought-after, offering shimmer and visual appeal that standard prints couldn't match. Smoochum, the adorable Ice-type Baby Pokémon, carries charm that appeals across collector interests. Its whimsical artwork exemplifies the character-driven appeal that keeps many people invested in Pokémon cards beyond competitive mechanics. Baby Pokémon cards hold special significance for collectors building thematic collections or seeking the gentler side of the Pokédex.
