Shining Legends arrived in late 2017 as a special subset celebrating the franchise's legacy, distinct from the standard expansion cycle. The set featured alternate art treatments and a nostalgic focus on iconic Pokemon, appealing to both longtime collectors and newer players rediscovering the TCG after years away. Its limited nature and accessible size made it a gateway product during the hobby's resurgence. Raikou's Shining Legends iteration captures the legendary beast in dynamic pose against striking artwork. As one of the set's more sought-after holos, this card represents the era's renewed appreciation for clean design and legendary Pokemon collectibility. It remains a foundational piece for anyone building a comprehensive modern Raikou or legendary beasts collection.
