Scarlet & Violet arrived in late 2022 as the first generation of Pokémon cards designed specifically for the Switch games' Paldea region. This era marked a creative reset for the TCG, introducing fresh artwork styles and Cosmos Holo texturing that collectors found visually striking compared to previous generations. The set became a collecting cornerstone during a period when the hobby was maturing beyond pandemic-driven speculation. Metal Energy exemplifies why special energy cards attract dedicated collectors. Its artwork captures the essence of its type with striking visual design, and cosmos holo variants add dimensional shimmer that photographs beautifully. Energy cards remain underappreciated in collections despite their role in the game and their potential as complete-set pieces.
