Topps Pokemon Series 2 arrived in 1999 when the trading card phenomenon was reaching critical mass. Following the explosive success of Series 1, this set expanded the collectible universe with fresh imagery and deeper character representation. It remains a cornerstone of 90s Pokemon collecting, capturing the franchise at peak cultural momentum when kids and adults alike were hunting packs at corner stores and gas stations. Koffing, the mischievous poison gas Pokemon, appears here in classic Topps fashion with vibrant illustration work that brings the character's playful nature to life. Collectors appreciate the Pokemon Series 2 lineup for its variety and charm, and Koffing represents the kind of supporting character that rounds out a complete set.
