Neo Genesis arrived in 2000 as the first English set to feature Pokémon from the Gold and Silver generation. Released during the franchise's peak cultural moment, it marked a significant shift in the TCG's design philosophy, introducing updated artwork styles and mechanics that would define the early 2000s competitive landscape. The set remains foundational for collectors building comprehensive English collections from Pokemon's most celebrated era. Seadra appears here as a Stage 1 evolution card capturing the seahorse Pokémon mid-development. Its artwork exemplifies Neo Genesis's distinctive visual approach, appealing to collectors who value both the evolutionary line's progression and the set's artistic direction. This card represents an important checkpoint for players and collectors pursuing complete Johto Pokedex sets from this influential release.
