Hidden Legends arrived in 2004 as part of the EX era, a period defined by powerful new mechanics and competitive gameplay innovation. This set represented the hobby's evolution toward tournament-focused card design while maintaining the accessible charm that drew casual collectors. The EX format itself became legendary among players and remains a nostalgic touchstone for anyone who lived through early 2000s Pokémon collecting. Chikorita, the gentle Grass-type starter, appears here in its classic early-game form. Its gentle demeanor and connection to the beloved Johto region make it perpetually appealing to collectors building complete sets or pursuing their favorite Pokémon across different releases. This card captures the character that many players first encountered in their Pokémon journey.
