EX Dragon arrived in 2003 as one of the defining sets of the modern Pokemon TCG era, introducing the powerful EX mechanic that fundamentally changed competitive play. These cards offered increased stats and effects at the cost of giving up two prize cards when knocked out, creating strategic tension that captivated players and collectors alike. The set remains iconic for its bold artwork and role in bridging the game's evolution during the early 2000s boom. Spoink, the bouncy psychic pig, appears in this set as a charming supporting card that appeals to collectors of Pokemon with personality and quirk. Its vibrant illustration captures the character's distinctive jumping nature, making it a favorite among those building complete set collections or seeking out the less prominent but lovable creatures from Dragon's roster.
