The TCM Santa Around the World series was a charming 1995 release celebrating holiday traditions across different nations. Turner Classic Movies created this set during a period when entertainment companies were increasingly exploring novelty card releases beyond sports, tapping into both the collecting boom of the mid-90s and growing nostalgia for classic holiday imagery. These cards captured a uniquely optimistic moment in pop culture when seasonal themes and international themes held broad appeal. Card 17 depicts Santa as imagined in 1931 USA, offering a window into how American holiday iconography has evolved. The artwork reflects the visual language of early 20th-century Americana, making it a fascinating historical artifact. Collectors are drawn to this card for its role in documenting how different cultures and time periods have visualized one of the world's most recognizable figures.
