TCM Santa Around the World was a novelty set from 1995 celebrating global holiday traditions through the lens of Christmas folklore. Released during the mid-90s collector boom, it captured a moment when trading cards extended beyond sports into cultural curiosities. The set reflected the era's appetite for themed and educational content, making it a charming artifact of 90s pop culture collecting. La Befana represents Italy's beloved gift-giving figure from Epiphany tradition. Depicted as a wise old woman who delivers presents by flying through the night, she embodies the distinctly Italian take on Christmas magic. Collectors appreciate this card for its beautiful rendering of folklore rarely seen in English-language card products, preserving a cultural tradition often overlooked in mainstream holiday imagery.
