Paldea Evolved arrived in 2023 as part of Pokémon's Scarlet and Violet era, capturing the excitement of the newest generation during a period when the TCG was experiencing robust collector interest. The set continued the modern practice of including reverse holo versions across the full card range, offering collectors textured alternatives to standard printings and helping sustain engagement across various budget points. Mimikyu has consistently resonated with collectors for its distinctive design—a ghost-type Pokémon disguised in a cloth resembling Pikachu. The reverse holo treatment enhances this already compelling artwork, making the textured finish particularly effective at bringing out details of this fan-favorite character. Mimikyu cards remain sought-after across multiple sets and formats.
