Paldean Fates emerged in 2024 as a special retrospective set celebrating Pokemon's ninth generation while honoring the franchise's legacy. This era marked a continued evolution in Pokemon TCG design, blending modern mechanics with nostalgic elements that appealed to both longtime collectors and newer players exploring the hobby's depth and history. Mankey's shiny variant captures the primal fighting-type in its rare golden coloration, a striking departure from its standard appearance. The pugil monkey's aggressive stance and dynamic artwork make shiny versions particularly sought after by collectors building type collections or pursuing complete shiny sets within Paldean Fates.
