Legendary Treasures arrived in late 2013 as the final set of the Black & White era, marking a nostalgic closure to that chapter of Pokémon TCG history. The set emphasized classic Pokémon and high-quality artwork, making it a favorite among collectors seeking that bridge between modern production and the cherished vintage feel of earlier decades. Its release during this transitional moment cemented its significance in the hobby's ongoing narrative. Magikarp holds particular appeal as one of Pokémon's most beloved and humorous characters—the famously weak fish with outsized determination. Collectors appreciate Magikarp cards for their charm and the varied artistic interpretations across sets and eras. This Legendary Treasures version captures that enduring appeal, making it a natural inclusion for fans building comprehensive collections or those simply drawn to Magikarp's character legacy.
