Fleer Ultra Draft Picks arrived in 1991 as a bold entry into the premium card market, featuring prospects and recent selections from that year's NFL Draft. The set exemplified the early 1990s hobby's optimism about young talent and represented Fleer's push into high-end territory with superior photography and design. Ultra became known for striking visuals and premium presentation that appealed to serious collectors seeking alternatives to standard base sets. Brett Favre's inclusion in this early draft-focused release captures him at the threshold of his career, before his Hall of Fame arc became clear. The card presents a key piece of Packers history and early 1990s NFL collecting, making it particularly attractive to those building comprehensive Favre collections or documenting the era when draft cards carried special cachet among enthusiasts.
