Panini Playbook arrived in 2021 as one of the final football releases before the company lost its NFL license. The set became known for its bold, modern design and emphasis on rookie content paired with premium memorabilia. Collectors embraced Playbook for combining accessible price points with genuine on-card autographs and game-worn relics, making it a solid entry point for those building collections around the 2021 rookie class. Trey Sermon was among the most intriguing prospects in that class, a running back whose athletic profile sparked genuine debate about future production. This relic card captures collector interest through the combination of rookie status and embedded game material—the physical connection to his early NFL moments that makes relic cards endure across generations of the hobby.
