Steam Siege arrived in 2016 as a landmark set for the Pokémon TCG, arriving during a period of renewed collector interest following the game's resurgence. The set introduced the M Gardevoir-EX and M Mewtwo-EX mechanics that defined competitive play of the era, while its vibrant artwork and full-art card designs made it a favorite among enthusiasts building collections that reflected both playability and aesthetic appeal. Ponyta's reverse holo treatment showcases the classic Fire-type pony with the shimmering, textured finish that defined the era's premium offerings. Early stage Pokémon like Ponyta hold particular appeal for collectors assembling complete set runs or focusing on foundational creatures from the original generation, making this reverse holo variant a worthwhile addition to any Steam Siege collection.
