Topps Finest X-Men '97 captures the beloved animated series that defined 1990s superhero television. The set's refractor technology creates that signature prismatic effect collectors associate with premium releases, marrying nostalgia for the show with the visual appeal that makes modern card collecting distinctive. This line successfully bridges animation fandom and traditional card collecting, appealing to both longtime X-Men enthusiasts and those discovering the series anew. Gambit stands out as one of the set's most visually striking subjects. The Cajun charmer's kinetic card energy and unique design translate beautifully across the refractor's shifting colors and light-catching surface. Collectors gravitate toward this card for both the character's cultural significance within X-Men lore and the refractor's ability to capture his distinctive visual presence from the animated series.
