HeartGold & SoulSilver brought the beloved Johto region back to life in 2009, marking a significant moment when the TCG celebrated its own history through modern mechanics. The set's Cosmos Holo treatment created a distinctive sparkle effect that became iconic among collectors. Spanish releases from this era are particularly sought after, as international prints from this period remain less common in the secondary market compared to English versions. Ho-Oh LEGEND represents one of the set's crown jewels—a dual-card mechanic that required assembling both halves to unlock the full illustration. The majestic rainbow phoenix, central to Gold and Silver's narrative, resonates with players who experienced those original games. Collectors appreciate the artistic vision of the complete card and the nostalgic pull of capturing one of Pokémon's most iconic legendary creatures.
