The Horizons Gem Pack Vol. 1 represents an early entry into Pokémon's Chinese market expansion in 2025, arriving during a period of increased international interest in regional card products. Chinese releases have developed their own collector following, valued for unique artwork variations and accessibility outside standard English distributions. This set captures that transitional moment when Pokémon TCG was deliberately cultivating global markets beyond traditional Western channels. Quaxwell, the middle evolution of the Quaxly line, appears here in holographic form—a classic choice that draws collectors who appreciate the character's design rendered in Chinese card aesthetics. The holo treatment and regional exclusivity combine to create appeal for both Pokémon enthusiasts and those collecting international variants of familiar creatures.
