The Sword & Shield era marked a significant expansion of Pokémon TCG's modern appeal, with Black Star Promos serving as special promotional releases that collectors actively sought outside traditional booster boxes. These cards became key chase items during a period of renewed hobby enthusiasm, offering players and collectors premium versions of popular Pokémon with distinctive full-art treatments unavailable in standard sets. Mewtwo V captures one of the franchise's most iconic legendary Pokémon in striking full-art style, showcasing the character's commanding presence across the entire card face. Its prominence as a Legendary Pokémon combined with the V-class mechanics made it a natural draw for both competitive players and collectors building complete promotional sets.
