Panini Select Draft Picks represented the final wave of premium football card releases before Panini's exit from the NFL market in 2022. The set captured a unique moment in hobby history, blending modern design sensibilities with the collector appeal of draft class cards. Select's layered technology and parallel variations made it a favorite among serious hobbyists seeking high-end products during the sport's trading card renaissance. This purple lazer parallel of Ja'Marr Chase showcases the wide receiver during his rookie season with the Cincinnati Bengals. Chase's explosive emergence that year—paired with the distinctive visual appeal of Select's laser technology—made his early cards particularly sought after by both player collectors and those building sets from this final Panini era.
