SkyBox's 1995 Toy Story set captured the cultural moment when Pixar's groundbreaking film arrived in theaters. Released alongside the movie's theatrical run, these cards introduced collectors to a vibrant new universe of characters rendered in appealing illustrated artwork. The set remains a nostalgic touchstone for 90s trading card collecting, bridging the gap between movie merchandise and the broader card hobby during a golden age of licensed properties. Woody is the heart of Toy Story, and his card reflects the character's charm and iconic cowboy persona. As the film's protagonist and emotional anchor, Woody naturally became one of the set's most sought-after cards. Collectors value this card as a foundational piece of early Pixar collecting history and a connection to the beloved character who launched one of cinema's most enduring franchises.
