Pokémon VSTAR Universe stands as one of the most celebrated Japanese sets of 2022, marking a high point for the modern era with its focus on alternate art treatments and premium collectibility. Released during peak collector enthusiasm, the set became synonymous with accessible luxury—offering beautiful full-art cards and Special Illustration Rares at reasonable pull rates compared to contemporary products. It represents a period when the TCG maintained strong momentum and artistic innovation. Thievul's Art Rare treatment captures the mischievous Pokémon in a dynamic, illustrated style that showcases the character's personality and charm. Collectors are drawn to Art Rares for their gallery-quality presentation and distinct visual appeal compared to standard holofoil cards. This Thievul exemplifies why these alternate arts remain popular with players and collectors alike.
