The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth arrived in 2023 as a landmark collaboration between Wizards of the Coast and Middle-earth Enterprises. This set marked Magic's first full licensed venture into Tolkien's world, delivering the fantasy crossover many players and collectors had anticipated for decades. The foil versions became particularly sought after for their visual appeal and premium presentation. Easterling Vanguard captures the martial culture of Rhûn's warriors, depicted with the bold artwork characteristic of the set's Middle-earth aesthetic. Collectors are drawn to cards representing the Enemy's diverse forces alongside the Fellowship heroes, as they complete thematic collections and showcase the set's comprehensive world-building.
