Card Notes
The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth brought Tolkien's legendary world to Magic: The Gathering in 2023, marking a landmark crossover that unified two of fantasy's most beloved properties. This special Art Series release featured gold-stamped treatments of select cards, creating premium collectibles that appealed to both MTG players and Tolkien enthusiasts. The set represented a cultural moment when trading card games expanded beyond their traditional boundaries into mainstream fantasy properties. Boromir, Warden of the Tower captures one of Middle Earth's most complex characters—the noble yet flawed son of Denethor. Collectors are drawn to this card for its striking artwork and the character's significance within Tolkien's narrative. As a numbered art series variant, it holds appeal both for those seeking iconic Lord of the Rings imagery and MTG collectors pursuing complete premium releases.
