Shimmering Skies marked a pivotal moment for Disney Lorcana in 2024, establishing the trading card game as a serious competitor in the collectible landscape. This set refined the game's mechanics while expanding its character roster, appealing equally to Disney fans discovering TCGs for the first time and established players deepening their collections. The set's strong reception demonstrated the game's staying power beyond its initial launch window. Kronk, the lovable henchman from The Emperor's New Groove, captures the character's gentle nature and comedic charm. His card explores one of Disney's most endearing supporting characters—a villain's minion whose cooking skills and animal friendships steal every scene he inhabits. Collectors appreciate cards featuring these memorable character deep cuts that celebrate Disney's rich catalog beyond the obvious leads.
