Unlicensed Sanrio cards emerged as a fascinating grassroots phenomenon in the Japanese trading card market during the early 2020s. These independent releases filled a niche for collectors seeking official character designs outside traditional licensed channels. The sets represent a creative period when fan communities and small publishers collaborated to celebrate beloved characters, capturing a moment when the hobby expanded beyond mainstream production. My Melody, Sanrio's iconic pink rabbit character, appears as card #61 in this collection. Her cheerful design and enduring popularity make her a sought-after subject for Sanrio enthusiasts and character collectors alike. This particular card appeals to those building comprehensive Sanrio collections or drawn to the character's presence across different card releases.
