Raging Surf arrived in 2023 as part of Pokemon's sustained momentum in the Japanese market, continuing the high-quality illustration standards that define the era. Japanese sets of this period represent a golden age for collectors seeking premium artwork and competitive pull rates, with Raging Surf standing as a significant release during a time when Japanese cards commanded serious collector attention alongside their English counterparts. Zekrom appears here as a striking legendary dragon, rendered in full holographic treatment. The electric-type mascot carries inherent appeal for collectors drawn to iconic Pokemon and powerful stage cards, while the Japanese Raging Surf version specifically attracts those pursuing regional variants and international versions of key characters.
