The Quarter Century Bonanza set marked a significant milestone for Yu-Gi-Oh!, celebrating 25 years of the trading card game with a premium collection designed to honor the franchise's legacy. Released in 2024, this set brought together iconic cards and new releases in Ultimate Rare—one of the hobby's most visually striking finishes—making it a landmark release for both longtime players and collectors reconnecting with the game. Ancient Gear Ballista represents the enduring appeal of the Ancient Gear archetype, a fan-favorite strategy centered on mechanical warrior aesthetics. The card's detailed artwork captures the industrial, steampunk-inspired design philosophy that defines the theme, drawing collectors who appreciate both the competitive history of Ancient Gears and the craftsmanship of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s card illustrations.
