Fleer Tradition arrived in 1998 as a nostalgic callback to Fleer's classic 1990 design, capturing the aesthetic that defined early-90s collecting. The set honored the visual language of that pivotal era while offering contemporary rosters, making it appealing to both seasoned collectors and newer hobbyists. Tradition became a touchstone for those seeking that sweet spot between vintage charm and modern photography. Michael Irvin's presence in this set reflects his status as one of football's premier receivers during the Cowboys' dynasty years. Collectors gravitate toward Irvin cards from this period for their connection to his peak performance and the storied Dallas teams of the 1990s. His cards remain popular among those building comprehensive Cowboy collections or focusing on Hall of Fame receiver lineups.
