# Card Notes The Nintendo Pokemon Vending Prism Sticker Cards represent a fascinating chapter in early Pokemon collecting, produced during the franchise's explosive growth in Japan around 2000. These holographic sticker cards were distributed through vending machines and retail channels, capturing the era when Pokemon merchandise appeared in every conceivable format. Their prismatic finish and compact sticker format made them distinctly different from traditional trading cards, creating a unique collectibility niche that endures today among those seeking authentic period pieces from Pokemon's golden age. Weezing, the dual-gas Poison-type evolution, appears here with striking prismatic artwork that showcases the set's distinctive visual appeal. Collectors seek these sticker cards for their nostalgic charm and the technical challenge of finding well-preserved examples, as their delicate prism coating and adhesive backing made them vulnerable to wear and damage over two decades of storage.
