Jungle was the second major expansion released for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in 1999, continuing the explosive growth that Base Set had sparked. This set brought beloved creatures into a lush, nature-themed environment and solidified collector enthusiasm during the hobby's golden age. Jungle remains iconic for its aesthetic design and the accessibility it provided to players seeking specific Pokémon beyond Base Set's limited roster. Mankey, the feisty Fighting-type primate, appears as card 55 in this set with dynamic artwork capturing the character's aggressive personality. Collectors appreciate Mankey for its spirited design and as part of completing comprehensive Jungle collections, representing an era when acquiring every card in a set was a meaningful collecting goal.
