# Card Notes Team Rocket stands as one of Pokémon TCG's most iconic and beloved sets, released in 2000 during the franchise's peak cultural moment. It introduced the first villainous theme to the trading card game, featuring dark reimaginings of classic Pokémon and trainers. The set captured collectors' imaginations with its edgy aesthetic and became a cornerstone of late-90s Pokémon nostalgia, maintaining strong collector interest decades later. Imposter Oak's Revenge presents a delightfully subversive take on the benevolent Professor Oak, depicting him as a scheming villain. The card's playful artwork and thematic departure from the traditional good-guy characterization made it an instant favorite among collectors who appreciated Team Rocket's irreverent approach to the Pokémon universe.
