✍️ Autograph Authentication Crown Verified
The autograph appearing on this 2016 Topps UFC Museum Collection Archival Autographs Ruby card (AA-CV, 04/10) is rendered in blue ink across the lower portion of the card face, exhibiting a fluid, looping signature consistent with known Cain Velasquez exemplars, including a broad sweeping initial stroke and connected cursive letterforms. Ink examination by Crown Authentication confirms this is a live ink autograph, hand-signed in real ink rather than a printed or facsimile reproduction, as evidenced by darkened overlaps at stroke intersections and natural variations in ink pressure and density throughout the signature. On the basis of the ink examination and signature characteristics, Crown Authentication is satisfied that this autograph is genuine.
Card Notes
Topps UFC Museum Collection represented a premium entry into mixed martial arts trading cards, offering collectors archival-quality autographed cards with museum-grade production values. Released during the mid-2010s boom in combat sports collecting, this set elevated UFC cards beyond standard releases by incorporating special finishes and limited parallels like this Ruby version, appealing to serious collectors seeking crossover appeal between sports and fine art collectibles. Cain Velasquez was one of the UFC's most dominant heavyweight champions during this period, making his autographed cards highly sought after by MMA enthusiasts. This Ruby parallel adds visual distinction and scarcity to an already desirable subject, capturing collector interest from both Velasquez fans and those building complete sets of the Museum Collection's premium parallel versions.
