Panini Select Global Icons represented a significant modern entry in combat sports card collecting, bringing the premium Prizm technology that revolutionized the hobby to MMA's expanding collector base. The 2022 release captured the sport at a moment of global growth, featuring elite fighters across multiple weight classes. The Gold Prizm parallel remained one of the most sought variants, delivering the signature rainbow refraction and visual impact that made Select such a vital set during Panini's final years in the industry. Deiveson Figueiredo's inclusion reflects his status as one of the flyweight division's most dominant champions during this era. Collectors gravitate toward his cards for both his accomplishments in the octagon and the striking visual presentation inherent to the Prizm format, which transforms each card into a collectible object of inherent aesthetic appeal.
