EX Deoxys launched in 2005 during the height of the EX era, a period that defined early-2000s competitive play and collecting. The set introduced powerful EX mechanics while exploring the mythical Deoxys across its multiple forms, creating memorable artwork and strategic depth. This era remains celebrated for balancing accessibility with complexity, drawing both casual players and serious competitors alike. Seaking represents the classic water-type support Pokemon that collectors appreciate for its solid utility and appealing aquatic design. As a straightforward, non-EX card in an EX-focused set, it offers collectors the full range of the set's offerings—from powerhouse rares to the dependable commons and uncommons that made decks function. These overlooked cards often carry nostalgic appeal for players who built their first competitive decks.
