Panini Select: Mezzanine arrived during basketball card collecting's modern renaissance, representing the brand's final years before losing the NBA license. The set became known for its artistic approach to player photography and innovative prismatic treatments, with the Red Cracked Ice parallel standing out as a particularly striking visual variant. Select remained a collector favorite for blending premium design with accessible price points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's inclusion captures the guard during his ascent as one of the NBA's most dynamic playmakers. The Cracked Ice effect transforms the card's surface into a shimmering, fragmented aesthetic that emphasizes the modern prismatic appeal collectors pursued during this era. For SGA enthusiasts, this parallel represents a key piece from his early career timeline.
