Panini Select's 2023 release represented the final chapter of the manufacturer's NBA partnership before losing the license to Fanatics. The Mezzanine Level subset became known for its premium aesthetic, layering intricate designs with vivid color treatments. The Cracked Ice Blue Prizm finish exemplifies Select's signature approach—taking a base design and elevating it through distinctive refractor technology that catches light in compelling ways. Trae Young remains one of the most collected modern players, and his Select cards continue to draw interest from both Young devotees and investors seeking Atlanta Hawks representation. This particular version combines the visual appeal of the Cracked Ice treatment with Young's star power, offering collectors a contemporary take on premium NBA cardboard from an important final year of Panini production.
