One Piece trading cards experienced a resurgence in the early 2020s as the anime's continued global popularity drove renewed collector interest. The Romance Dawn set marked a foundational moment for the TCG, and store championship participation promos like this one became coveted variants among dedicated players and collectors. Foil versions of promotional cards carry special significance within the community, representing both competitive achievement and the intersection of tournament play with the collecting hobby. Hitokiri Kamazo depicts a memorable antagonist whose role in the series resonated with fans. This character's striking appearance and dramatic moments make the card visually compelling, while its promotional status appeals to those building comprehensive One Piece collections. Collectors value promos for their limited availability and the story they tell about the card's origin within the competitive landscape.
