The Kenner Starting Lineup Superstar Scorer set represents a unique intersection of sports cards and action figures from the early 1990s. Kenner's foray into trading cards brought the tactile appeal of their popular Starting Lineup figures to cardboard form, creating hybrid collectibles that appealed to both card and toy enthusiasts. These cards captured the energy of hockey during a transformative period, when the sport was experiencing significant growth in North American popularity. Jaromir Jagr was among the era's most electrifying players, and this card celebrates his presence during his prime years with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Superstar Scorer designation highlighted offensive excellence, making Jagr a natural fit for the set. Collectors value these cards for their nostalgic connection to early '90s hockey collecting and for featuring some of the game's most dynamic talent from that golden era.
