Brilliant Stars arrived in early 2022 as a standard set in the Sword & Shield era, delivering reliable pulls and contemporary artwork that resonated with collectors building modern collections. The set maintained the steady quality fans expected during this productive period for the Pokémon Company, offering accessible chase cards without the astronomical secondary market prices that defined some contemporaneous releases. Lumineon V's full art treatment showcases the elegant water-type in its natural habitat, rendered with the dynamic illustrative style that made full-art Pokémon V cards genuinely compelling to collectors. These alternate presentations became central to modern collecting culture, blending competitive playability with gallery-worthy artwork that justified display beyond the binder.
